STORY:
Nestled on a 225 acre estate in Alta Verapaz, Guatemala, Luis “Wicho” Valdés faces the challenge of year-round rain where this exciting coffee is grown. He has creatively adapted his drying strategies to cope with the unpredictable rain. The coffee is taken to a dry mill in Guatemala City–which boasts ideal weather conditions–in dried parchment where it is stored until it is ready to be exported.
